BuckyXTC
Two cars were waiting at a stoplight. The light turned green, but the man didn't notice it. A woman in the car behind him is watching traffic pass around them. The woman begins pounding on her steering wheel and yelling at the man to move. The man doesn't move. The woman is going ballistic inside her car, ranting and raving at the man, pounding on her steering wheel and dash. The light turns yellow and the woman begins to blow the car horn, flips him off, and screams profanity and curses at the man. The man, looks up, sees the yellow light and accelerates through the intersection just as the light turns red. The woman is beside herself, screaming in frustration as she misses her chance to get through the intersection. As she is still in mid-rant she hears a tap on her window and looks up into the barrel of a gun held by a very serious looking policeman. The policeman tells her to shut off her car while keeping both hands in sight. She complies, speechless at what is happening. After she shuts off the engine, the policeman orders her to exit her car with her hands up. She gets out of the car and he orders her to turn and place her hands on her car. She turns, places her hands on the car roof and quickly is cuffed and hustled into the patrol car. She is too bewildered by the chain of events to ask any questions and is driven to the police station where she is fingerprinted, photographed, searched, booked and placed in a cell. After a couple of hours, a policeman approaches the cell and opens the door for her. She is escorted back to the booking desk where the originalofficer is waiting with her personal effects. He hands her the bag containing her things, and says, "I'm really sorry for this mistake. But you see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping the guy off in front of you, and cussing a bluestreak at him. Then I noticed the: "Choose Life" license plate holder, the "What Would Jesus Do" bumper sticker, the "Follow Me to Sunday School" bumper sticker, and the chrome plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk. So, naturally ..............I assumed you had stolen the car."
Guest Merlin
This is only fiction, and mean-spirited at that. Where is the evidence that Christians are mean drivers?

Guest Merlin
It is not just a joke, numbskull. You have to be a real idiot not to see that this was intended to accuse Christians of acting inconsistently with their beliefs in driving. This is not the joke forum, stupid, it is the politics and religion forum, and it was placed here for its political and religious content, dummy. PS. You see, anyone can be rude call people names, even the lowest forms of human life. Far from being the intellectual achievment you think it is, rudeness is an indication of low intellect. O Mighty Merlin: That pointy hat you wear is obviously not for a wizard, but for a dunce. FYI, there is no joke forum, yet others have frequently posted humor here, and you've never objected. Had I placed the joke in the Lounge, it most likely would have been moved here. So lighten up, you old turd. You may have not liked the joke, and that tickles me pink. Glad it offended you. Your dull wit and your neanderthal politics offend me.

Doug69
>You're right, there's no evidence of hypocrisy in the >religion that brought us Jimmy Swaggert and Jim Baker, among >others... Well, if that's your standard: some gay men DO molest children and shove gerbils up their ass. So when someone tells a joke about a fag lurking in a playground waiting to get his hands on some nice 7 year-old meat, I'm sure you don't mind at all, and if someone says such jokes are homophobic or bigoted, I'm sure you point out that it was just a joke, and there is SOME truth in it (since there are examples of gay men doing these things), so no reason to get angry, right? Personally, I don't think jokes of this type are ever offensive - or at least they're not worth getting angry over. But I suspect very strongly that the people in this thread dismissively waiving away the offense which Christains take to jokes like these aren't quite so dismissive when the topic of jokes are gays or some other cherished group which they favor (heard any good black jokes lately?). Get the defibrillator again. Doug has a point. In place of long disquisition on the roots of stereotypes, the sublime Oscar Wilde: "Only the superficial do not judge by appearances." "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler. If we knew what we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?" Einstein "The Universe is not only queerer than we imagine; it is queerer than we can imagine." J.B.S. Haldane "If the idea is not at first absurd, then there is no hope for it." BuckyXTC
Just so you know........ The joke in question was sent to me by a practicing Christian who attends church every Sunday and is a very nice person. She thought it was funny, hence she sent it to me. I'll just bet a lot of Christians find it funny, because in my experience, lots of Christians have a sense of humor, and can laugh at themselves. But not an old crab like Merlin, who always sees evil intent in anything shared by someone he's labeled as "not of his weltanschaung". No doubt there are hypocrites in every religion, hence that hypocrisy becomes fair game for humor and satire. Mature people don't always take offense at every little thing. Nobody pisses and moans more about "political correctness" than conservatives. Now, Merlin has pronounced this joke "politically incorrect". Pardon my while I turn off my hyprocrite alarm. Doug69
Taylor the Fantasy Tycoon >my STATION in life? please explain. >oh, your ultra-liberal views aren't being shown for >hypocritical bullshit, are they? i mean, would someone who >believes in wealth redistribution and the wisdom of the >democratic party REALLY say something like your post? hmmm... >food for thought. Taylor - who lives with his mommy and daddy - has constructed for himself this bizarre, scary fantasy world. He comes here and posts as though he's a tycoon and super-lawyer with a large staff of obsequious employees who work for him, take dictation for him, run errands, etc. And he writes posts to people about jobs he has for them, menial work they can do for him, openings he has for them on his "staff." He routienly posts ridiculing others for not having achieved the high level of wealth and career success which he has achieved. That's the fantasy - the reality is, he has and is nothing. He has no staff. Nobody works for him. He has created nothing. He doesn't even have a job. He just has this mentally created fantasy life where he pretends to be all these things. At the age of 21, isn't that somewhat distrubed? I mean, I'm all for having an active imagination, but isn't this elaborate game of pretense where he pretends to be all these things that he's not somewhat unhealthy? Shouldn't he be seeing someone about this?

dick_nyc
RE: Taylor the Fantasy Tycoon That explains it, then. What we have in taylor is the gay male version of Paris Hilton in all his glory.
