GOOD NEWS for all of you who are celebrating Reagan's death. You are not alone! People around the world share your hatred of him and are celebrating Reagan's death with you:

From the Associated Press:

"HAVANA - Cuba harshly criticized former President Ronald Reagan and his policies on Monday, saying he should ``never have been born.'' In the first reaction to Reagan's death from the communist government, Radio Reloj said: ``As forgetful and irresponsible as he was, he forgot to take his worst works to the grave,'' the government radio station said. ``He, who never should have been born, has died,'' the radio said."

From the Associated Press: Jun. 7, 2004 07:10 AM

"CAIRO, Egypt - While former President Ronald Reagan was remembered fondly across Europe and in much of the rest of the world, Arab nations recalled the Reagan days as a dark period. Islamic militants set up a Web page for visitors to celebrate the death.

The Reagan years marked the beginning of what Lebanon's culture minister, Ghazi Aridi, called a "bad era" of American Mideast policy that he said continues to this day."

>Just because we disagree with you doesn't mean that we hate

>you.

>

>That's what makes liberals better people than reactionaries.

Would you mind terribly if I asked what fucking planet you're living on?

Liberals don't hate the people with whom they disagree? Do I really need to paste the multiple posts written here by numerous liberals expressing glee over Reagan's death and cackling over the fact that he's now roasting in hell in order for you to admit how stupid and false your statement is? Go to any liberal Internet Board and what you read liberals saying about Ronald Reagan makes what Adolph Hitler said about Jews in Mein Kampf mild by comparison.

And have you not read anything written by liberals about the current President of the United States? You know - about how he's a retarded, cocaine-snorting, criminal monkey ape who belongs in shackles being executed by a war crimes tribunal? No, liberals don't hate at all. They're full of love and goodness.

I'd like to sincerely notify that you are genuinely delusional. I don't understand how any human being who speaks English can wake up in the morning and say that liberals don't hate the people they disagree with. What do you do when you encounter the things I'm describing - do you just read it and then forget you read it, or do you tell yourself that it's not really "hatred." Please let me know how you're able to maintain this delusions. It's fucking remarkable, really.

Yes, you do. The closest one to that interpretation says "good riddance to bad rubbish." It's just an old expression, get it? I don't hate my trash when I take it out. Like Reagan (after whom is named, the building that houses more federal bureaucrats than any other in the nation) it's simply irrelevant.

I get that you're exhibiting signs of pathological delusion. If you want to claim that proclaiming "good riddance" when someone dies isn't a sign of hatred for that person, then you're simply beyond reason.

But how about this post - in the "First Divorced President" thread:

_______________________

"let me say that I am glad the old Fuck is finally dead! May he rot in Hell!!"

_______________________|

How about that? Does that exhibit hatred?

And here's a nice loving post from a peaceful, loving liberal in the Ronald Reagan thread (post #10):

_____________

"May all the followers of Reagan and Regaannomics (sic) all go to meet there (sic) hero in a very hot place very very soon.

He was a SOB and he is now rotting in hell for his sins against humanity."

BigGuyInPasadena

So this kind, humanist liberal not only celebrates the notion that Reagan is rotting in hell for eternity, but hopes that anyone who believes in Reaganomics rots in hell for eternity. No hatred there. Nope. None at all.

And here's a nice excerpt from liberal cartoon and imbecile Ted Rall on Reagan's death:

_______________

<<It's a shame that Ronald Reagan didn't die in prison, where he belonged for starting an illegal, laughably unjustifiable war against Grenada under false pretenses (the "besieged" medical students later said they were nothing of the sort) and funneling arms to hostages during Iran-Contra.

. . . .

Anyway, I'm sure he's turning crispy brown right about now.>>

_______________

And here's what this same peaceful, kind liberal commentator with love in his heart has to say about George Bush:

<<When George W. Bush dies someday, please bear in mind that, unlike Ronald Reagan--a duly-elected president--Bush will not be entitled to a state funeral or placing flags at half staff. As an illegal usurper who seized power extraconstitutionally, Bush should be buried at sea, in a simple shroud, and returned to the sharks that spawned him.>

So these liberals are glad Reagan is dead and hope he - and anyone who shared his political ideology - burns in hell for eternity. And they want George Bush's dead body fed to sharks. But they don't hate at all - because they're libearls.

Do you see how pitifully delusional you are yet?

Gosh, yes, "liberals" can be nasty, too! But why is this so shocking to one of the premier practitioners of nastiness on this site? And goodness knows, there are plenty of other nastiness practitioners who share Dougie's political leanings. The main problem with the Dougies of this world is that they looooove to dish it out, but they can't take even a mild lick without whipping themselves into froths of hypocritical self-righteousness! Which is what makes it such special fun to bait them!!! }(

As usual, you missed the point. I should have had the thread translated into low-level federal government bureaucratese so that you could join in.

I'm not complaining about the hatred that oozes from the pores of liberals, nor am I suggesting that liberals have any more hatred in them than conservatives. I think that the hatred which leftists have for George Bush is quite equivalent to the hatred which those on the right had for Bill Clinton, because I think that those on the extreme right are identical in character and intergrity to those on the extreme left.

I wasn't documenting the hatred of liberals because I was complaining about it. I documented it in response to the blind delusional lost soul who said that liberals don't hate and that's what makes them "better human beings than reactionaries."

Did you really need me to explain that to you in order to understand it?

The religious right that Reagan courted would assure you that non-abstinent gays will rot in hell for eternity, also. Does that mean that they hate us? Or are they entitled to religious beliefs while those that they believe are condemned to hell, are not?

Of course the basest behavior of liberals can be fully as bad as that of conservatives. The ethicists point this out as a lesson of the Abu Ghraib abuses -- how easy it is for apparently a good number of ordinary people to take up the whip. (Goethe said, "I have seen no crime committed that I myself could not have committed at some time or other.")

The difference lies at the opposite end of the behavior scale -- when people strive to do what they conceive to be highest and best. Reagan's most principled policies did too much harm to forget, even as he lies in state.

"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler. If we knew what we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?" Einstein

"The Universe is not only queerer than we imagine; it is queerer than we can imagine." J.B.S. Haldane

"If the idea is not at first absurd, then there is no hope for it." Einstein
