(Associated Press) WASHINGTON Oct. 23 — "Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia ridiculed his court's recent ruling legalizing gay sex, telling an audience of conservative activists Thursday that the ruling ignores the Constitution in favor of a modern, liberal sensibility. The ruling, Scalia said, 'held to be a constitutional right what had been a criminal offense at the time of the founding and for nearly 200 years thereafter.' Scalia adopted a mocking tone to read from the court's June ruling that struck down state antisodomy laws in Texas and elsewhere."

we all knew scalia didn't like the ruling.

what's the ridicule though? just one reporter's interpretation of his tone? where's the serious journalism there? even if we take the journalist's word that it was "mocking" what's the surprise?

Oh, my God - he mocked a Supreme Court ruling with which he vigorously disgarees? Throw him in jail!!! And even worse, the decision which he "mocked" involved homosexuals!! A capital offense.

Everyone knows that liberals never mock anything that they disagree with. They never mock anything like the President of the United States, or Christianity, or the Catholic Church, or pro-life views, or conservative advocates, or Supreme Court decisions with which they disagree.

It's a shame that people like Scalia can't follow their example. I mean, he actually goes around "mocking" ideas that he disagrees with! The horror!
